Garden Works is a family business based in Ocala, Florida. The owners are Gabriel and Sunshine Chapman. Prior to acquiring Garden Works, Gabriel and Sunshine co-founded and ran a successful financial services company. They live in Orlando, Florida, and enjoy sharing time with their three adult children and 1-year-old granddaughter, Margo. Gabriel and Sunshine are passionate travelers, spending several weeks each year in Europe, where they love to visit gardens and explore food, history, and architecture.


Sunshine Chapman, President

Sunshine Chapman, a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience, brings a wealth of expertise to Garden Works. Known for her innovative approach and proven track record in driving long-term revenue growth, Sunshine has a charismatic spirit and unstoppable energy. Her diverse background, including roles as a professor, corporate trainer, e-commerce store owner, and marketing consultant, equips her with a unique perspective and deep customer relationship skills. Sunshine comes from a long line of passionate gardeners and loves creating beautiful outdoor spaces in the Chapmans’ homes in Florida and Utah.

Gabriel Chapman, CEO

Gabriel Chapman, a dynamic entrepreneur and business leader, has extensive expertise in business development, product evangelism, and operational excellence. His career includes successful product launches, market capture, and leadership positions in marketing and software development. Gabriel has consistently created multiple millions in revenue through various strategic initiatives. His diverse background includes leadership positions in marketing, operations, and software development, having worked with notable clients such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Earthlink, AOL, Disney, and Coca-Cola. Gabriel's strategic vision and commitment to excellence are well-recognized in multiple industries. A passionate photographer, Gabriel enjoys capturing the beauty of gardens wherever he and Sunshine travel.


Karen Alexander, Marketing and Sales Manager

Karen Alexander is the dynamic Marketing and Sales Manager at Garden Works, bringing over 30 years of experience in the gardening and home improvement industry. With a keen eye for market trends and a passion for customer engagement, Karen has played a pivotal role in expanding Garden Works' brand presence nationwide. She excels at leading our team of independent sales representatives and personally services our largest accounts, ensuring that our innovative products reach the right audience.

Karen's dedication to fostering strong relationships with over 6,000 independent retailers has been instrumental in driving sales growth and building long-term partnerships. Her leadership, creativity, and deep understanding of the industry continue to elevate Garden Works as a premier name in garden and kitchen products. A certified Master Gardener, Karen enjoys spending time in her own garden outside of Atlanta, finding inspiration in nature and bringing that passion into her role at Garden Works.

John Dwyer, Warehouse Manager

With years of experience and a dedication to excellence, John Dwyer ensures the seamless operation of our warehouse and the efficient delivery of products to our customers. As Warehouse Manager, John oversees all aspects of warehouse management, including palletized shipments, forklift operations, and inventory tracking and replenishment. His keen eye for detail keeps our inventory organized and our processes running smoothly.

Beyond his logistical expertise, John contributes to the creative side of our operations. He handles embroidery on gloves, assists with tool manufacturing, and generates graphics and tags for new products. Acting as a key liaison between the factory and warehouse, John coordinates shipments from our factory to customers, ensuring timely and reliable delivery. John’s diverse skill set, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to quality make him an invaluable part of the Garden Works team. Whether he’s managing day-to-day operations or collaborating on new product launches, John’s dedication helps keep our business growing and thriving.


Cassidy Davis, Marketing Assistant

Cassidy Davis is a versatile and creative Marketing Assistant with extensive experience in crafting effective organic and paid social media strategies across a variety of industries, including hotel, travel, tourism, wine, technology, restaurant, publishing, finance, nonprofit, and real estate. She excels at designing interactive content—ranging from photos and videos to engaging contests—tailored for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Cassidy's expertise lies in developing content that resonates with audiences, encouraging customers to interact and share, ultimately building a strong and loyal fan base.

In addition to her social media prowess, Cassidy is skilled in managing client presence using tools such as Hootsuite, HubSpot, Sprout Social, WordPress, and Squarespace. She actively monitors and responds to social media activity across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Yelp, Pinterest, YouTube, and TripAdvisor, ensuring that every interaction aligns with the brand’s voice and values. Cassidy is also a talented writer, composing blog posts, marketing emails, press releases, and other content that effectively communicates brand messages and fosters customer relationships. Teri Orozco, Customer Service Manager

Teri Orozco brings exceptional organizational skills and a passion for customer satisfaction to her role as Customer Service Manager at Garden Works. Teri is the heart of our customer operations, ensuring seamless communication and efficient service at every step. Her responsibilities include managing customer inquiries and orders through phone, email, fax, website, and OrderEase, ensuring that every request is handled promptly and accurately.

Teri also oversees OrderEase coordination and communication, keeping our systems running smoothly and orders flowing effortlessly. In addition to providing stellar service, she handles essential administrative tasks like filing and bookkeeping, ensuring the operational side of Garden Works stays as strong as our customer relationships. With her dedication to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to making every customer interaction a positive one, Teri plays a key role in keeping Garden Works running smoothly and exceeding customer expectations.
